Saint Anselm Parish of Saint Louis

Saint Louis Abbey Church Concert Series

Pierre Perdigon, France — Organ Recital

Pierre PerdigonThe early history of the landmark tracker Hradetzky organ at Saint Louis Abbey was influenced by some of the biggest names of the organ world, such as Gilian Weir, Anton Heiler and Marie-Claire Alain. Many years after these masters performed and taught at the Abbey, we would like to revive the best of this great legacy.

The next St. Louis Abbey concert will feature one of the most respected pupils of Heiler and Marie-Clair Alain — Pierre Perdigon, France. Pierre Perdigon is a prizewinner at international organ competitions, a member of the French National Commission for Historical Organ, and a renowned pedagogue.

Perdigon, a critically acclaimed recitalist, is also well known as a continuo player cooperating with various soloists and early music ensembles. Currently, he is the artistic director of a festival of sacred music at Saint Anthony Abbey, near Lyon.

The artist will perform works by well-known Baroque composers from Italy, Spain and Germany.

Admission is free — good will donations welcome.
